#interiordesign #styling How to help sell your empty property more quickly with home staging #style

I have staged this top floor attic bedroom as the teenage bedsitting room – keeping with a shabby chic interior theme but adding colour to make it young and fun.
Mixing vintage (chair, mirror & chest) with pops of colour from Homes In Heaven cushion, Peter Jones rug & the vibrant pink chair & fuschia desk accessories. The neutral coloured grey bed throw pulls the whole room together to make it classy, not too colourful.

#interiordesign #styling #shabbychic #style looks for creating shabby chic interiors for home staging

As I was only staging this property, I wanted to come up with a solution to hide all the cabling for the Sky, audio etc without purchasing an expensive AV unit. Using the shabby chic theme, I hid all the cabling within an upturned inexpensive vintage sugar crate & added 2 candle lanterns & a tall fake palm to make the corner a stylish feature corner.

#interiordesign – Loving my new latest client’s endorsement/testimonial!

“Ceril Campbell is an impressive lady with a great eye for detail. She projects both style & warmth in her work.?
She is very professional, she brought in our project on time & under budget (how often does that happen!!)

I am happy to recommend Ceril. She has an extensive range of resources which enable her to buy quality items at reasonable prices.

She has been a pleasure to work with.”

Matalan Home Interiors and fashion Summer 2013 press day

Dropped past @Matalan @yellow_door press day showcasing Summer 2013 looks and trends. Took pix on my new Samsung Galaxy S3 phone. Found I'd come on leaps and bounds from yesterday when I couldn't even discover how to answer my incoming calls. Today I managed to upload pix to @Pinterest #styleyourlifeUK  and onto Twitter. Soooo impressed with myself as I am not the best person at technology

Changing room proportions by illusion

When you want to improve the proportions of a room without changing it structurally, you can use colour, furniture and even flooring to create the illusion of a better shape- just as you can do with clothes and clever dressing to create a better body shape.

Pergo’s innovative EndlessPlank™ creates the illusion of a never ending wooden floor, although its actually a brilliant laminate. With a seamless connection, the planks effortlessly click together and can help your room proportions according to which way you lay them.  The planks are available in honey, taupe, barrista and sand. which can widen, shorten, lighten or darken the atmosphere of your room.

A sofa for Father Christmas and his elves

Loving this festive vintage stripe sofa from Sofadesign.co.uk as a place for Santa to put his feet up when he drops down your chimney into your sitting room on his busy Christmas eve schedule. There is enough room for the elves to sit too whilst they share a glass or two of brandy and mince pies. For stockists call 0208 518 5443

Wonderful walls from Brume

Loving this instant sticker wall art by Brume (www.Brume.co.uk)
Prices £12-£75

Easy to apply to instantly jazz up a plain white wall, creating a mural as big or small as you like,

Or a feature such as a working vintage wall clock with battery operated hands,

Or super-sized cutlery in the kitchen – just like Heston's new TV series

Homebase Lighting Challenge

In response to long dark Winter evenings setting in, Homebase set up a fun challenge yesterday evening to illuminate and create various lifestyle room sets using their fantastic affordable new ranges of lighting, furniture and accessories.
@Homebase_uk

My “Style your life” #styleyourlife business now transforms and stages interiors from empty to lived in, or tired and cluttered to stylish and minimal.

If it’s a property for sale, a show flat or simply a private home that needs some TLC, I will consider my client’s individual needs and what we need to achieve by the styling and staging.
Improve a live/work space.
Better first impressions to sell.
Create an aspirational living space in an slow-selling home to help a prospective purchaser want to buy into a lifestyle, not simply the bricks and mortar.

Here are 2 snaps taken last night from the modern dining room and shabby chic sitting room I created instantly. It was rather like 60 minute make-over and I loved having the instant electrician and handy man there. I did jokingly offer for him to come to live with me! We could all do with someone living with us to help us with our light bulbs, shelves etc. (In addition to husbands or partners)

The 3rd pic is in my own front hall with one of the new ranges of Homebase retro-style lights and an up-cycled 1950’s chest of drawers found in a Brighton flea market.

At the PREMORIA Italian furniture design co, Pimlico Road

Promemoria is a luxury Italian furniture design company who creates bespoke designs-individual pieces or even whole house interiors.

The evening launched Promemoria's super-luxe bespoke kitchen cabinetry collection Angelina in the newly expanded showroom on Pimlico Road. Designed by founder, Romeo Sozzi, Angelina is named after his mother and is inspired by her passion for cooking and entertaining.

This is not the kitchen for those who want to simply “shoosh up” /transform inexpensive kitchens with an expensive worktop and new handles- but a kitchen for those who want to make sure they have the best of the best!. Lined leather drawers, beautiful dark wood, attention to detail. This is the kitchen for the client with a house full of staff and probably a few other homes around the world. We are talking seriously high end here.

During the evening, there were delicious canapes and an auction raising money for KIDs, the disabled childrens charity, whose president is The Hon. Rosa Monckton. There were lots of fantastic auction prizes including one from Ed Baines, the celebrity chef, a seafood platter dinner for 12, served in your home, which was bought by the MP David Mellor.
