Discover The New You workshop at Warner Leisure Littlecote House Hotel

Tomorrow I’ll be hosting my “Discover The New You” workshop at the Warner Leisure Littlecote House Hotel in Berkshire. In my styling masterclasses I transform the image and self-perception of ‘real’ men and women of all ages by showing how to dress to suit your bodyshape and offering style hints and tips to last a lifetime. Dressing to flatter your bodyshape is important when you are having an image transformation as it boosts confidence and makes you look and feel your best.

My workshops are held regularly around the UK and for future dates please see DiscoverTheNewYou.co.uk. If you’d like a one-to-one session that is tailored to your styling needs, you can find out further information at CerilCampbell.com.

London Fashion Week photographs by Rory Campbell

Rory Campbell, www.rorycampbellphotography.com, dropped past London Fashion Week at Somerset House today, to take some quick snaps of some of the visitors to the shows.

Here is a quick sample of why London stands out from the crowd as individual, quirky and unique, and why visitors from abroad come here to spot trends – not just from the designers on the catwalks but also from the fashions in the street.

No words needed here! The pictures speak for themselves, with all Rory’s subjects wearing elements of this winter’s trends… sheepskin, fur, grey (the new black), socks with shoes, high heeled hiking boots, patterned tights, monochrome, 50’s Mad Men curves, long skirts…

A conversation with Elizabeth Gilbert

Elizabeth Gilbert‘s book, “Eat, Pray, Love”, details her personal journey of self-discovery and has touched the lives of the many millions of women that have read it. Due for release next week, the movie of the book stars Julia Roberts and tonight I’ve been lucky enough to attend “A conversation with” Elizabeth Gilbert, hosted by Paul Holdengr?ber.

Through her book, and now the film, Liz Gilbert tells her story of seeking happiness and the answers to her life through her travels to Italy, India and Indonesia, and at tonight’s event she has been discussing her life and writing, for the first time in the UK. It’s been a fascinating and funny evening with great insights into Liz’s life, family and thoughts on everything, including what it’s like to have Julia Roberts playing you!

Style School

I will be giving my first guest tutorial “Celebrity stylist” session at the new Style School is West London today.

My class is for a group of 16 year olds.
They will learn about first impressions, body language, looking appropriate, what makes a great Celebrity stylist, how to work with Celebrities, Celebrity insecurities, bodyshape, shapewear and lingerie, finding the best Red Carpet outfits, which celebrities are stylish and of course about my world-past and present.

I find it fascinating and rewarding working with teenagers, especially when it also helps their own self-esteem and confidence . Its so important to show them they dont have to be a size 0 either

A clever new site!- www.mylastsong.com

I came across across a clever new site this week. Not one that we’d find “sexy” but certainly one that would be useful to all of us as we reach middle age and beyond

We all hate thinking about our own mortality and that of our loved ones but this site addresses all these issues and helps you with all the things you might need to plan for on your death- from the will to the funeral, the flowers to the caterer. Even all sorts of music to choose from- hence the name of the site-“mylastsong”. Once you’ve made your choices, you can store it all safely in a vault on the site.

check it out…. www.mylastsong.com

My psychic reading

p>Every day my inbox is full of emails from PRs offering me to check out
new beauty or fashion products, shop openings and launches and
occasionally one with a difference catches my eye. The one that
caught my eye last week was offering me a reading from a Celebrity
psychic. So I called Maurice Amdur whose clients have included
Hollywood celebrities and the late Princess Diana. He took me by
surprise by doing my reading instantly on the phone, which wasnt
really what I was planning! His phone observations on some of my
present and past life were really quite accurate, whilst his predictions
on my future were more reserved, but he did suggest that my career
was on the ascendancy this next year (positivity is always good)
and my love life….. well … that elusive soul-mate would appear again,
but not for another year or two! ….
Here’s hoping Maurice doesnt always get his timings spot on!
