The Summer wardrobe is finally having an airing this week.

Summer has arrived in London at the same time as my busiest fun week of the year.
.
It makes a change to wear real clothes instead of daily fitness kit lycra which everyone walks around London in, even if they're not going to the gym.
.
Girls night out with Marcia McCabe at my cousin Russ Kane's pre-Edinburgh festival warm up gig at the Albany pub, London. .
Wearing halter neck silk top and limited edition customised jeans from Zara ( summer 2018) and vintage denim jacket.
.
I can remember a newspaoer article a while ago saying at what age are you too old to wear jeans? .
I say never too old.

Been off grid for a week as I dropped my phone and the screen broke

Been off grid for a week as I dropped my phone and the screen broke even with all bumpers and protection.
.
£220 later for Samsung S9+ screen/whole frame replacement ( and that was one of the cheaper quotes) I'm now catching up.
.
So...
Never too old to love a live music gig..
Especially when it's a mother and daughter girls night out. Fleetwood Mac at Wembley.
.

.

There is a wonderful local old fashioned-style greengrocers on the New Kings Road london SW6

There is a wonderful local old fashioned-style greengrocers on the New Kings Road london SW6 that sells an amazing array of loose vegetables-no plastic wrap to be seen- and all sorts of yummy health foods too.
.
These sunflower, broccoli and kale micro greens have a higher concentration of vitamins, phytonutrients, antioxidants and  minerals than normal greens contain. Microgreens are also rich in enzymes, which enable them to be more easily digested.
.
This lunch I threw together looks huge on the plate but is mostly the microgreens, avocado ( for healthy fats) and wilted spinach ( for iron) 
With a salmon fillet ( for omega3)  griddled for a crispy skin in extra virgin olive oil (healthy oils) .
.
The sauerkraut is for good gut health, a tablespoon eaten before the meal, .
and a couple of olives can also act as a natural probiotic as well as all their other antioxidant and healthy oil benefits.

Chatting about age- and being real on BBC5live at 10.50am this morning with Emma Barnett.

Why I no longer feel the need to fib about my age even when I reach another milestone birthday. Looking in the mirror each morning isn't always the best as i still feel like my younger self inside but the mirror tells a different story.
.
When we were in our teens or twenties,  we aged ourselves up to appear more wordly and maybe to be taken more seriously by those older than us especially for career advancement.
.
However when we reached our 40s and onwards we fibbed and lopped years off to remain as long as possible in the previous decade.
.
Now that we look after ourselves better with a healthy lifestyle and diet, nutrition knowledge, fitness and beauty regimes, we can look our best and be proud of how we look naturally whatever our age.
.
I'm proud to look the way I do in my 60s.
.
Of course I would like to look like I did when I was in my 20s but I'll settle for being the best version of how I am now.
.
I've had amazing life experiences in my 60plus years and two wonderful children. 
Ive no need to fib any longer.
.
I want to inspire women of all ages.

This collection of CBD oils, capsules and creams are for me to test and trial with some of my lifestyle and wellness clients

This collection of CBD oils, capsules and creams are for me to test and trial with some of my lifestyle and wellness clients.

Until now I have been very anti CBD oils as I believed that any with enough strength to do anything significantly helpful would be addictive due to the addictive nature of THC compound in cannabis.
.
However the THC has been removed in all these products but they are still high strength enough to be effective.
.
So we here we have from L-R... Kat's Naturals organic CBD THC free drops- Heal: These high dose anti-inflammatory formula drops are peppermint flavoured and can help with anxiety, depression and insomnia.
.
.
Medterra drops are fast acting as they are absorbed sublingualy for anxiety and  pain relief during periods. These I am going to test out on a young women client.
.
.
The  Mediterra capsules can help lessen interrupted nightly sleep as they are slower to kick in as they are absorbed slower in the body than drops. These are what I am  goimg to try myself. Apparently they will not give a Melatonin style hangover effect in the morning.
.
.
The CBD pain cream can help arthritis and inflammation. I am going to try this on an arthritic finger and an ageing knee joint myself.
.
.
The Lucent botanical mints can help to be calming.
.
.
The tester sachet creams can help redness, rosacea etc.

Eat Breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Queen

Eat Breakfast like a King, 
Lunch like a Queen. 
Dinner like a Pauper.

My breakfast here was eaten late morning and was a 2 organic egg omelette with spinach and Gruyere cheese (a brand made with raw cow's milk for gut health).
.
Nutritional science helping our bodies function best evolves all the times with new findings. .
Breakfast doesn't have to be 1st thing in the morning but at least 12 hours after your last meal of the day. This could mean that if you ate last at 8pm then your breakfast is anytime from 8am again.  If you are following an intermittent 16/18 fasting regime (2 consecutive days a week), then your breakfast would be around midday to 2pm. .
Then your subsequent 2 or 3 meals can  be squeezed into an 8 hour window. .

We are all different and unique and that's what makes each and everyone special.

My photo was from 20 years ago ( so I must have been maybe in my early 40's as I'm now 64.  This was before filters and apps, but beautifully and flatteringly lit by the photographer. .
I know I didn't appreciate how I looked then and was certainly more critical of myself then than I am now in my old age. .
We all get older and should grow old gracefully or disgracefully if you prefer, whilst being your own person and not caring what others say or how they judge you- especially through social media. .
