Sometimes it’s a specs day

Sometimes it's a specs day. .
If you wear contact lenses it's good to give your eyes a rest some days. Especially if you get dry eyes as you get older.
.
I've worn contacts since the age of 12. Until recently no one ever saw me in specs. The contacts were straight in first thing in the morning and removed last thing at night. 
I felt 'less than' in my specs- not confident, not sexy - not me. Now I feel I can embrace wearing glasses and have all sorts of styles, shapes and colours. 
My specs have become an additional fashion accessory- to embrace wearing-  not an embarrassing encumbrance.

Sale shopping bargains

We all like to find a bargain or two to add to our wardrobes when we're not re-wearing or upcycling our clothes- as the Duchess of Cambridge did last night at the Baftas.
.
Wearing vibrant colour can bring you joy and brighten up your day.
Sometimes it's good to venture out of your comfort zone and experiment.
.
Today I'm wearing :
Cotton crop polo-neck from Zara (under £10) 
Blue trousers from Zara sale £5.99 (reduced from £29.99) 
Heels from TK Maxx in 2019 (around £30)

Small steps.

When life is tough don't give up.
It's easy in January to make all those unrealistic  resolutions and set yourself up to fail.
.
So start your journey with small steps.
A step by step change of thinking.
.
It could be that you want to:
Change your life.
Become fitter, healthier.
It could be anything........
.
Start each day when you wake up to be grateful for 3 things in your life. That way the day will begin  on a positive note.
.
Remove any negativity and replace with positivity and the possibilities of what you can achieve with each of those small steps.
.
Be the master of your own destiny.
.

We should vary our daily diet as much as we can, eating colourful vegetables as much as possible

We should vary our daily diet as much as we can, eating colourful vegetables as much as possible.

This was my super-healthy protein and good carbs breakfast today consisting of purple sprouting broccoli, purple sweet potatoes and organic eggs with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. .
All brightly coloured fruit and vegetables contain antioxidants – compounds which play a key role in protecting our bodies – and many naturally purple-coloured foods contain an antioxidant called anthocyanin. This is a beneficial plant pigment which gives fruit and veg their deep red, purple or blue hues.

This antioxidant can help your immune system and reduce inflammation in the body. .

I’m road testing two brand new nutritional supplements this week.

The Summer wardrobe is finally having an airing this week

The Summer wardrobe is finally having an airing this week.

Summer has arrived in London at the same time as my busiest fun week of the year.
.
It makes a change to wear real clothes instead of daily fitness kit lycra which everyone walks around London in, even if they're not going to the gym.
.
Girls night out with Marcia McCabe at my cousin Russ Kane's pre-Edinburgh festival warm up gig at the Albany pub, London. .
Wearing halter neck silk top and limited edition customised jeans from Zara ( summer 2018) and vintage denim jacket.
.
I can remember a newspaoer article a while ago saying at what age are you too old to wear jeans? .
I say never too old.

Monday day #2 healthy regime week

Monday day healthy regime week.

16 hour fast after Sunday's last meal( chicken bone broth) .
Swim (pic 1)

Breakfast: 11.30am -scrambled free range eggs, avocado, spinach, watercress, expresso coffee (pic 3).

Lunch: 3pm- organic salmon fillet cooked in olive oil, salad leaves, celery, cucumber, sweet potatoes (pic 2).
