Every so often we all need a digital detox.
.
Even if we don't feel or have social media comparison anxiety, we can still feel a need to post daily so we don't lose followers, and our followers don't lose interest.
.
So if I don't post every day, please don't get bored and disappear. .
My Instafeed is real, not filtered, hoping to inspire, and may not always be real time as I'm not out every day and night. .
I'm often in many evenings on my own watching TV. My life can even be quite boring, mundane and even lonely. .
That is something that most people would not want to admit on their social media.

I'm currently in the middle of writing a novel which is nearly finished, and that requires huge discipline, no distractions, sitting at my laptop with all emails and social media switched off.

So today I've posted a bare-faced, no-make-up  selfie pic of my 64 year old me. Just as I am. No filters. This is me. .

It’s pouring with rain today but yesterday was beautiful and all that was needed for the best sun protection was a big floppy hat, sunglasses and Altruist factor 50 sunscreen for the face, and Altruist factor 30 for the body as seen with @misslucy_lou

Feeling good

Feeling good... three days ago to Bank Holiday Monday beach walk.

Wearing my favourite pair of limited edition embroidered @zara jeans ( past season) 
Cashmere sweater @marksandspencer ( past season) .
Walking 20 minutes every day at a brisk pace helps keep a healthy heart and the circulation moving and the digestion working. Exercise, especially outdoors, also helps release that 'happy-feeling-good' hormone seratonin.

Try to have some 'me time' every day and do something that brings joy and happiness into your life. .

Reformer pilates.
Glute and core stability strengthening bridge exercise.
.
Trying to remember to keep hips equalized, turn on and engage the core, glutes, hamstrings and lower ab muscles required for the movement and to come back down from the bridge with control and the discs of the spine moving smoothly and sequentially. The opposite arm to the supporting leg is pressing into the reformer as the heel presses into the bar.

Healthy homecooked Sunday brunch

Healthy homecooked Sunday brunch.

Scrambled local farmshop free range eggs, smoked salmon from the village fish shop, smashed avocado with red chillies that were home grown in my garden, peashoots, and artisan seeded sourdough bread from the local baker. .
When you're by the seaside it's so much nicer to be able to shop locally for your ingredients, supporting the local community and village shops but also to know that the food you're buying is mostly locally produced and free range or organic..
.
Sometimes the food we eat may look and taste delicious but add nothing positive to daily diet or our nutrition. These include simple carbs which are mostly foods that are beige ( ie: bread, biscuits, cakes, pastries, pasta). Processed foods.  Hormone-fed meats.  Battery-reared chickens and eggs.
