Blonde again! with my wonderful very pregnant colourist.
Hoping that the baby doesn't come early! @chanelnott
As we get older the creamy tones of blonde hair are so important as hair colour should compliment, brighten and enhance your facial skin tones. .

A selection of my favourite makeup brushes and products from @primark

A selection of my favourite makeup brushes and products from @primark.beauty .

I was browsing in Primark Oxford st and checked out their new beauty products which apparently have had a recent significent financial investment.
I was really impressed with their makeup brushes which I then bought for a transgender MTF client so she could experiment with her newly learnt makeup application techiques, taught by me, with these brilliant inexpensive makeup tools.

The brush prices ranged from £1-£2.50 and were excellent in both texture and balance between softness and firmness for application and blending away.

The key to a good make application is blending and blending away.
Its not all about countouring as seen in so many airbrushed insta MUA posts.
It's so important to be able to blend away, especially for a trans girl who may still be covering her remaining beard growth during her laser/electrolysis/hormone treatments with layers of concealer products, foundation and powdering to set.

However blending away is important for all girls whether it's eyeshadow, foundation, concealer or blusher.
.
.

The brushes shown here include double ended brushes:
Angled eyebrow brush
Eyeshadow and concealer brush
Apply and blend brush
Foundation and concealer brush
Powder and finish brush
And
Blender sponge
Mattifying powder
And an artist palette of eyeshadows.

Great makeup tools for starting out.
Total £29! ( i doubled up on some of the brushes for my client)

Loving my July haircut with @andyatagency Thank you xx

Loving my July haircut with @andyatagency Thank you xx.

My last haircut till September. My hairdresser Andy's client sitting next to me at the salon said she had dress envy. So sharing with you that my white lace dress came from Zara last summer and was on sale too.
Btw I've always found that for both myself and often for my lady clients age 60plus shorter haircuts that frame the face, often at jawline length, can act as an instant facelift helping us look 10 years younger.

Before and after men’s makeup makeover trial

Before and after men's makeup makeover trial.

I love my work so much when it makes people feel good about themselves. My work is all about being the best version of you that you can be. Whether I'm helping clients with their wardrobe, colours, body image and self-confidence, body shape, first impressions, body language, healthy diet and nutrition, exercise, make up for women, makeup for men and more.

Eyebrows and eyebrow shaping are so important and make so much difference to your face. I tweezed first to shape and then extended and added missing brow hairs. I covered the beard and uneven skin tones, and shaded cheekbones with a contour kit. .

As it’s Wimbledon fortnight I thought I’d continue posting some more images of past Wimbledon champions styled by me

As it's Wimbledon fortnight I thought I'd continue posting some more images of past Wimbledon champions styled by me.

Anna Kournikova aged 18, styled by me in Berlin. She'd refused to participate in my photoshoot when requested in advance from London.
However when she saw Polaroids of other players from my day's photoshoot she loved their photos, and unexpectedly turned up at the end of the shoot with most of her Russian family members. There were a lot of them.

She loved the Escada dress I chose for her to wear and the Bvlgari diamonds.
As she had come straight from the Berlin open tennis tournament all she had with her was her sports bra and no other suitable bra to wear with the dress and she was very keen on having lots of cleavage showing.

The only bra I had with me was a "Wonderbra' ( if you remember the Eva Herzigova "Hello Boys" wonderbra ad ) plunge bra of my own in my suitcase which I of course lent her.
She still wanted more cleavage, so I obliged using contour shading.

She was to be on a magazine cover as the editor loved the photo of her so much. However her L.A. agents were less than pleased when they saw the photos as no one knew that she was about to be endorse and be advertising a sports bra which apparently made her cleavage innapropriate at that time. Who was to know this?! So we were not allowed to use the full length photo, hence the cropped head shot which ended up as the magazine cover photo. The full length photo was never used.

What does a girl do when still wearing flats and no makeup?
You go to Peter Jones and do a whole makeup on the Laura Mercier counter with their testers and buy a pair of heels on sale reduced from £90 to £45.

Frida Kahlo @vamuseum London

Excited for the press preview of Frida Kahlo exhibition at the V&A. . . . . .

Frida Kahlo @vamuseum London. Frida was a unique style icon with her monobrow which she enhanced with makeup, red lips and flowers in her hair. Even with lifelong ill health and adversity she remained extraordinarily stylish in her image.

Frida was beset by health problems throughout her life from contracting Polio as a child to injuries sustained in a car accident which affected her to her early death.
However she remained stoic and stylish all through her pain…

Frida Kahlo @vamuseum London. Even after a leg amputation Frida remained true to her own unique personal style customising her prosthetic leg with a stylish decorated boot.

1933 Self-portrait Frida Kahlo exhibition Making herself up @vamuseum London. Frida's mono-brow and facial hair were not the beauty norms even at that time. She used an eyebrow pencil in Ebony to accentuate her brows and Revlon '"everything's rosy" lipstick and red nail varnish.
