Reformer Pilates

For those who have only ever practised mat-based Pilates classes, I am going to regularly demo together with @lukemeessmann @absolutestudios how Reformer pilates exercises can be tailored to every ability- beginner or expert.
.
Today’s exercises in video clips 2 and 3 are the basic first and then the more advanced variation. . .

Road-testing the Body Ballancer treatment at the Private Clinic, Harley st, London

.
You can see me in my video clip wearing the inflating Body Ballancer compression garment during the 45 min treatment session.
(Definitely not looking my most glam today-) .
The gentle, rhythmic inflating action felt relaxing as it gave my body- from toes to tum- a circulation-boosting lymphatic drainage massage.
.
This can improve the appearance of cellulite and skin quality, reduce bloating and help fluid retention, even taking you down a dress size before a red carpet event. .
It can be used after sport to help muscle recovery by eliminating toxins more speedily through the improved lymphatic drainage system. .
It’s the go-to body contouring treatment for many celebrities.
.
Due also to the improvement of increased oxygenated blood flow, this treatment can also help speed up healing and reduce inflammation after any fat-freezing, laser, or ultrasound liposculpture treatments. .
I have tried over the years – manual lymphatic drainage massages and Endermology treatments to help improve cellulite, and the Universal Contour Bodywrap.
but the Body Ballancer treatment is much more pleasant and relaxing and you don’t even have to undress. .

Not a fashion statement but a Universal Contour Wrap treatment

Not a fashion statement but a Universal Contour Wrap treatment. .
Bandaged up like a mummy with detoxifying clay impregnated bandages.
Then wrapped in a heated blanket wearing the stylish vinyl space age silver suit for 45 minutes whilst the 'magic' takes effect.
.
The treatment guarantees a collective inch loss of 6" that can last a couple of days.
Apparently no bathing or showering that same day so the effects of the wrap stay.
.
However as we all know all treatments can vary in their effectiveness and most treatments need a course of at least 3 or 4 treatments to be most effective.
.
However this is a quick fix and can help if you want to look and feel your best for a special occasion.
You obviously need to also be eating sensibly and drink lots of water that same day. . .
.
@xreetsx thank you for the treatment and lovely head massage too.

Modified side plank exercise

Modified side plank exercise.

This is an easier version of the plank.
This is a good alternative plank strengthening exercise, especially after a knee injury as there is no pressure or strain on the knees holding in this position when the core or glutes and hamstrings are still weak.
