Super healthy low carb and protein lunch.

Salmon sashimi= protein + Omega 3 fish oils.
Pickled fermented ginger = Ginger is anti-inflammatory. Also fermented ginger is a probiotic in the same way as sauerkraut for good gut health .
Edamame beans = healthy fibre, antioxidants and Vit K.
Seaweed ( wakame) salad = magnesium , iodine, calcium, iron, vits A, C, E, K, B2, folate.

When you’re feeling low and dark Winter nights are closing in, and you’re craving not those good healthy complex carbs like vegetables and pulses, but the unhealthy white simple carbs, such as white bread, potatoes, chips, pasta, cakes, pastries and biscuits

When you're feeling low and dark Winter nights are closing in,
and you're craving not those good healthy complex carbs like vegetables and pulses, but the unhealthy white simple carbs,  such as white bread, potatoes, chips, pasta, cakes, pastries and biscuits ....

Then keeping a healthy gut is super-important when you may not be feeding your gut with the best food choices.
.
Probiotics are live bacteria found in fermented foods. Fermented foods and probiotics are proven to help gut health which in turn create your overall healthy body and mind.
.
These include Kefir which is fermented milk and Sauerkraut which is fermented cabbage.
Symprove is also a probiotic.

Sunday breakfast

Sunday breakfast.
.
Poached eggs and smashed avocado on a slice of granary toast, with chopped chillies to sprinkle on top snd some watercress snd spinach leaves. 
A hot water with a slice of lemon to start and an Expresso to finish. 
Sunday is one of the few days I have a slice of toast treat. The rest of the week is wheat free as much as possible. A mostly wheat and grain free lifestyle helps me to keep at an even weight and not bloat.
Also leaving a minimum of 12 hours from my last meal of the previous evening to the next day breakfast or first meal of the day gives the digestive system a rest for good gut health.

Sun, sea and seafood

Sun, sea and seafood.
.
The last day of an Indian Summer with lunch by the sea with a healthy but delicious Asian fusion mix of scallop, seabass and tempura prawn on a bed of vegetables, noodles and peanuts.
.
It's so easy to eat healthily when it's presented beautifully and tastes delcious.
Its all about the flavours.
.
Even when you are cooking at home, however simple or basic the recipe or meal, if you take a bit of extra care and time to make it look appetising on the plate, you will feel more satisfied on a smaller portion.
You will crave less of the unhealthy sugary carb laden foods which give high/low spikes to your blood sugar and energy levels.

I  was a celebrity stylist for over 30 years and now work with private and corporate clients with lifestyle, image and life change and have seen how the relationship with food and eating habits can affect people's lives, their mental health and well-being. .
I took a nutrition degree over the last few years to add to my expertise and knowledge of how to help my clients with a healthy balanced lifestyle.

Scrambled eggs with organic butter, wilted spinach, and smashed avocado on seeded multigrain  toast. A nutritious breakfast to keep you feeling fuller longer with less blood sugar highs and lows. 
12 hours since last meal and this 1st meal of the day to help digestion.
I start the day with warm lemon water and then a small swig of Kefir with a liquid multi-vitamin mixed in with it.  All fermented foods help to promote good gut health.
