Feeling a Bohemian vibe wearing this new Zara dress

Feeling a Bohemian vibe wearing this new Zara dress.
.
I could be pregnant with twins under it - but that would be a miracle - - or hiding any number of things under its volumes of fabric.
.
It's not a sexy dress or a flattering dress for anyone with boobs as it hangs straight from them - but it's cool and airy with a fun print and vibrant colours that bring joy to the wearer.
.
Is it too young a dress to wear at the age of 66? Who cares - I am enjoying wearing it.
.
When we enjoy and feel good wearing a particular item of clothing - we as women - feel confident, positive and empowered.
.
This is a happy dress.

Good morning Clean hair, no makeup, hair roots desperate for the hairdresser

Tight dress after so many compulsive and frequent fridge visits.

However I’m well now – healthy physically and mentally and with positive thoughts for today.
I can only manage to think about one day at a time at the moment – I used to think ahead and plan. Now each day evolves from the moment I wake up according to how I slept the night before. .

@tracybrabinmp shadow culture MP

Well done on raising so many thousands of £s auctioning the controversial one shoulder dress for your charity @girlguiding as a result of – wearing a dress that had slipped off the shoulder and was deemed inapropriate in the House of Commons. .
It’s easy to have clothing malfunctions and indeed my own @zara top in the photo can be worn in all ways – exposing shoulders or not.
.
Women are continuously judged and often more harshly by other women than by men. .
My lifestyle consultancy takes me into organisations where women prefer to often dress androgynously- in trousers- in black- to not be noticed for what they wear- but only for the excellent job they do.
.
I also speak in schools- where teenage girls feel the need to look perfect- especially on their social media- affecting their mental health.
.
I hope my own social media feed, that is never filtered, inspires and can show women – young and old – that we can all be individual. Embracing our quirks and flaws make each of us unique and special. No celebrity I have ever dressed had a perfect body or flawless face in my past 30 year career as a celebrity stylist. .
We shouldn’t be afraid to wear what we feel comfortable in- however- if we work in an organisation and are customer facing, then we are the face of the brand and should dress accordingly. .
Be true to yourself, don’t compare and don’t let the judgement of others break you. .

self-confidence

Sometimes it’s a specs day

If you wear contact lenses it’s good to give your eyes a rest some days. Especially if you get dry eyes as you get older.

I’ve worn contacts since the age of 12. Until recently no one ever saw me in specs. The contacts were straight in first thing in the morning and removed last thing at night.
I felt ‘less than’ in my specs- not confident, not sexy – not me. Now I feel I can embrace wearing glasses and have all sorts of styles, shapes and colours.
My specs have become an additional fashion accessory- to embrace wearing- not an embarrassing encumbrance.

The blue jacket is a vintage 1980’s Jasper Conran

Happy Chinese New Year The Year of the Rat

“Gong hei fat choy” in Chinese translates to:
“Wishing you great happiness and prosperity.”

Wearing the colour red symbolises luck, joy, vitality, celebration and good fortune in Chinese culture.

May all your wishes, hopes and dreams come true for you this new year.

Chilling with @missmollysmusings After a Qi Gong class

Qi Gong is a centuries-old Chinese mind-body spirit practice that can improve mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement and breathing.

I like to vary the types of exercise I do, from the meditative to the body-aligning and strengthening to the aerobic.

I continue on with my own regular skin care routine of BDR facial products together with an occasional BDR medical grade facial

I continue on with my own regular skin care routine of BDR facial products together with an occasional BDR medical grade facial as it helps my 65- year old ageing skin feel plumped and refreshed without the intervention -yet- of any non- surgical tweaks.
.
But I do like to see what is going on the future of tweakments often via the lovely @alicehartdavis
In this way I can give an unbiased opinion when asked by my lifestyle clients.
.
I'm a bit of a coward and personally not a great fan of any needles- blood tests or cosmetic however... if you aren't too squeamish watch this series of video clips I filmed this week ( through half-closed fingers ) at Cosmesurge - Harley st London.
.
These are a few options of tweaks you could do - if you so wished- for your hands, your nose, and a brow lift. .
You can see in the video clips the Ellanse injections in both the hands and temples.
And a brow thread lift.
On both you can see the significant improvement before and after on the two sides of the lady's hands and face.
These procedures can go on showing improvement for up to 3 months and can last for up to 3 years as the collagen re- building kicks in ( i hope I'm correct in this )?
.
It is always important if you are to have any of these tweaks that you choose a top aesthetician, surgeon and clinic.
Not a back room in some local beauty salon.
All procedures do have an element of risk.
