Wenesday was National kindness day

Wenesday was National kindness day.
.
Do you know what's really going on in people's lives? Your friends? Your family? Your neighbours? Those you follow on social media?
Would you like to know if your friends or family are ok?
Do you ask?
Are you interested? .
Is what you see posted on Instagram the reality? Or is it an edited or filtered version of their reality?
The version they prefer you to see and maybe you choose to believe.
.
Do you believe everything you see?
What is real and what is not?
Do you compare?
Does it give you comparison anxiety?
Do you think you are not as successful, pretty, slim, rich, fit, popular as those you follow? .
Remember, nothing is ever as it seems.
Just as in @hotpatooties new book that I'm currently reading. The story is so true. .
Every single one of us has stuff going on in our lives that we may or may not want to discuss.
But it's always nice to be asked.
You can always say thank you and everything is ok. Or no it's not. And know someone is always there to listen to you.
.
So reach out.
Be kind and understanding.
And never judge a book by its cover.
You may be surprised at what lies inside. .
Btw- the lovely smiley photo is of myself and my son and daughter.

#tbthursday With love from me to you

With love from me to you.
Happy Valentines day.
.
.
Even if you don't have a Valentine or someone special in your life you can still have a wonderful day and have gratitude for everything you do have - your health, your family, your friends and all those little things that bring you happiness and joy in your life.
.
.
Don't look at everyone else's Instafeeds wishing you have what they appear to have.
You don't know what's really going on in their life. Their feed is not necessarily their reality.

The latest video of the @tuclothing @portasagency #allboobswelcome ad campaign

Your thoughts ladies??? .
Does this ad campaign help give you body confidence?
Feel better about your own body image?
Understand that no one is perfect ( unless they’ve airbrushed or filtered).
.
If I can undress at the age of 64 together with these other brave and confident women of all ages, shapes, sizes.. then you too should be confident enough to embrace the body you actually have.
.
Btw, I had no name for my boobs in this video.
However I actually did… I called them “my girls!” What do you call yours? .
@eliza_h
New work out today 71% of women felt typical lingerie ads appealed to men and we knew it was time to get real. We’ve had enough of Victoria Secret’s catwalks and unattainable photoshopped perfection. We took to the streets and cast real women of all shapes and sizes.
.
Today and over the next 4 weeks we’ll be celebrating diversity and encouraging women to embrace their bodies as they are. From “Lemon drops” to “Ant & Dec” we say .

#tbthursday Back in the day

Back in the day.
Before social media and when we were all happier in our own skins.
.
Here I am on holiday in Mauritius in 1980s.
.
We aspired to look like the models or movie stars we read about in magazines or saw on TV and movies. There were no reality wannabe TV stars , a celebrity was a celebrity by virtue of actual talent not Tv exposure or a social media presence.
.
We may have wanted to be slimmer, have bigger boobs, a smaller waist or longer legs but we didn't stress about it, didn't seek cosmetic procedures to instantly change our bodies or body shame.
.
Life seemed simpler then.
We could be who we wanted to be without judgement.
The words anxiety and mental health weren't words that we now so often hear in our daily life.
.
We are all shapes and sizes and should accept and embrace our differences. .
That's what makes you unique and special.
No one is perfect , unless they've been filtered or airbrushed in a social media photo. And that's not reality. .
Don't compare.
Don't judge
Be yourself.

Working the arms

Working the arms.

How we all really look in the gym when working out. No filters, makeup, pouting, or posing to accentuate the abs and glutes.

Love your body and be the best version of yourself you can be

Love your body and be the best version of yourself you can be.

Don't compare yourself to others. Their Instapix are likely to be filtered, photoshopped, edited and enhanced.
Instagram isn't always real life. Be unique and proud of the person you are.
