Horse-riding is such great exercise, especially when using core strength to hold a good upright position on the horse when even at a canter.

This was the first day after the whole of this Summer that we took out the paddle board.

Very wobbly in spite of core strengthening pilates classes twice a week throughout the Summer and a 121 boxing session each week.

Maybe it was the volume of food consumed over the last few weeks

Being at one with a horse by the sea, with whom you have a rapport and a mutual trust is such a special and priviliged time.

It’s easy to understand how interacting with a horse or a dog can help those with special needs, autism or mental health.

We all need metime and downtime from the stresses of everyday life and especially an escape from social media, being judged by others and mobile phone addiction. .
When everything in life seems currently to be so turbulent, unsettled and uncertain, a short escape from day to day reality is revitalizing and reboots a positive mindset.

Sun, sea and seafood

The last day of an Indian Summer with lunch by the sea with a healthy but delicious Asian fusion mix of scallop, seabass and tempura prawn on a bed of vegetables, noodles and peanuts.

It’s so easy to eat healthily when it’s presented beautifully and tastes delcious.
Its all about the flavours.

Even when you are cooking at home, however simple or basic the recipe or meal, if you take a bit of extra care and time to make it look appetising on the plate, you will feel more satisfied on a smaller portion.
You will crave less of the unhealthy sugary carb laden foods which give high/low spikes to your blood sugar and energy levels.
