Core engaged.
Legs in tabletop.
Arms strong and LATS engaged. 
This flat rectangular muscle of the back helps the arms rotate as well as move away from and toward the body.
It also is the muscle that can help tone that annoying fatty area that hangs over the bra sides. .

Girls in pearls

Girls in pearls.

Saturday was a sad day as it was the memorial of a good friend who was such a special person.
.
The dress code was glam and colourful as the lunch party was to celebrate her life.
.
And so it was an orange and pearls day.
.
Everyone turned up wearing wonderfully bright and vibrant colours as she would have liked us to.
.
Life is so short and often so cruelly and abruptly ended, that we should make the most of every day that we are here.
.

This month's fresh haircut. As we age a good haircut is so important to help flatter, frame and lift the face.
And
This month's improved wrinkly skin texture after 4 sessions so far of BDR facial treatments which are still ongoing once a fortnight to get optimum results. I will show a before and after when I'm further on in the course of treatments.

Wednesday Pilates

Wednesday Pilates.

Shoulder stand.
An exercise challenging the lower abs. 
Using the lower tummy muscles to get the rise up rather than just momentum.
.
When I post a video clip of an exercise I've done,  I notice how I could have done it a bit better. .
I had felt I was right up tall onto my shoulders with my body more perpendicular than it was. .
Once up in the air, this exercise can be continued with the legs then going further backwards, toes to the reformer over the head and then reversing back over again. .

Chatting about age- and being real on BBC5live at 10.50am this morning with Emma Barnett.
.
Why I no longer feel the need to fib about my age even when I reach another milestone birthday. Looking in the mirror each morning isn't always the best as i still feel like my younger self inside but the mirror tells a different story.
.
When we were in our teens or twenties,  we aged ourselves up to appear more wordly and maybe to be taken more seriously by those older than us especially for career advancement.
.
However when we reached our 40s and onwards we fibbed and lopped years off to remain as long as possible in the previous decade.
.
Now that we look after ourselves better with a healthy lifestyle and diet, nutrition knowledge, fitness and beauty regimes, we can look our best and be proud of how we look naturally whatever our age.
.
I'm proud to look the way I do in my 60s.
.
Of course I would like to look like I did when I was in my 20s but I'll settle for being the best version of how I am now.
.
I've had amazing life experiences in my 60plus years and two wonderful children. 
Ive no need to fib any longer.
.
I want to inspire women of all ages.
.

Glute and core stability strengthening bridge exercise.

Trying to remember to keep hips equalized, turn on and engage the core, glutes, hamstrings and lower ab muscles required for the movement and to come back down from the bridge with control and the discs of the spine moving smoothly and sequentially. The opposite arm to the supporting leg is pressing into the reformer as the heel presses into the bar.
