lighting at HOMESENSE

Lighting is often the last and most neglected area of decorating/designing a home interior.
Now the evenings are drawing in, it is so important to have lighting that works for the mood of each area of a room. You will need to decide where you would like to have bright working areas and where you would like mood lighting.

I have found inexpensive wonderful lights at TK MAXX & HOMESENSE.

Now that my new interiors website is finished,

you can click on the interiors and find out how how I lit my rooms

here is the link to one of the rooms, which is the perfect Winter cosy snug.

Isle of Wight cottage makeover – style for less

I transformed a sparsely decorated cottage with little personality

to a contemporary rental cottage with a 50’s vibe.

How I got the look:
50’s Formica sideboard from car boot sale £25
Bean bag chair from Cargo
Cushions and throw from selection at Primark, Debenhams & M&Co & M&S
Stacking side tables from a Charity shop on IOW £5
All the pots and display items from Charity shops and Car boots on IOW
The pictures from framed old 1950’s sheet music
Total cost- a few £100

Love making something from nothing-Style for less!
