The styling of the room started with my find of the 50’s formica dresser.
I styled it together with the green IKEA sofa,?bright coloured bean bag & vintage chair which I re-covered with 50’s style fabric.
A nest of vintage coffee tables in front of the fireplace adds to the retro feel.
Framed 1930’s original sheet music & straw hats & seaside bunting bring extra colour.
The Union Jack throw and seaside themed cushions turn an uninteresting green sofa into a stylish corner of the room
The Farrah & Ball paint colour palette of muted greys, was the deciding factor of how I staged/styled this Fulham house's double drawing room. The look is lived-in, homely, characterful & classy-not modern, minimal or impersonal. The end of the drawing room nearest to us is perfect as a study area, as i did not want it simply to ba an extended passageway to the kitchen/dining-room, To create the gentleman's sudy/library feel I added a 'bookshelves' screen behind the client's vintage leather chair with a statement oversized Anglepoise-style light. The tartan throw & cushion add colour & texture. The thick pile rug is neutral & conveys cosiness in front of the fireplace. The shabby chic desk is by Littletree furniture & fits beautifully into the colour scheme & style of the room. The painted chair is a vintage find, whilst the black desk lamp pulls the black accessories in the rest of the room together. The pair of grey painted chandeliers are understated, & blend with the colours & styling of the room.
The dining area of the kitchen required a long narrow table approx 3x10ft to fill the space. I found a fantastic shabby chic table from LITTLETREE furniture teamed with with pale grey calico covered chairs to help transform the space from daytime family to glamorous dinner party. The length of wall needed artwork to pull together the whole kitchen & dining area. 3 inexpensive abstract artworks have been used as a tryptich on the wall. These pick up the lime green colour of the kitchen stools & placemats. Fake fruit & veg add extra colour & interest to the table styling.

I have staged this top floor attic bedroom as the teenage bedsitting room – keeping with a shabby chic interior theme but adding colour to make it young and fun.
Mixing vintage (chair, mirror & chest) with pops of colour from Homes In Heaven cushion, Peter Jones rug & the vibrant pink chair & fuschia desk accessories. The neutral coloured grey bed throw pulls the whole room together to make it classy, not too colourful.

As I was only staging this property, I wanted to come up with a solution to hide all the cabling for the Sky, audio etc without purchasing an expensive AV unit. Using the shabby chic theme, I hid all the cabling within an upturned inexpensive vintage sugar crate & added 2 candle lanterns & a tall fake palm to make the corner a stylish feature corner.

These are some polaroid pix from my celebrity archive. The Liberty X photos include a before pic as well. I was the first stylist to give them a total makeover and suggest coloured hair extensions.
