Ho ho ho!

Spent the evening in Santa’s grotto in Duke of Yorks sq Chelsea. After a visit with Santa, I went to his gift room.

What girl doesn’t like to find Brilliant diamonds in her Christmas stocking? Well #styleyourlife loves to always find you style for less and here there were diamonds for less – well for hundreds of ?’s rather than ?1000’s. So who is going to look that closely to find out that the diamonds you’re wearing aren’t mined but artificially created?

Whilst checking out the diamonds I had a fantastic hand treatment from QMSmedicosmetics. Hands that looked much better to show off those diamonds. Roll on Christmas!

Windows 8 launch dinner party

Cocktails on arrival that you could select from the Windows 8 cocktail menu app

Delicious Dinner by Chef Joe Gray, here's the menu and pix of my dinner choices, tuna, lamb and the pear

Experimented with the oh-so-intelligent Microsoft Windows 8 system and the sexy new Surface tablet. Loved the touch screen, its kickstand, the coloured keyboard and all the other features.

As someone who is so inept with technology but somehow still manages to blog, tweet and upload pictures, this Windows 8 Surface tablet is a must have for my Christmas shopping list as it will make my virtual communication sooooooo much simpler. Helping me to share photos, links, information and multitask with just a swipe of the screen (hopefully in my case). If I can manage to do all this, then anyone can. I now know about Cloud for storing info on the internet, Share Charm and more.

I did suddenly feel quite old and shocked at my ineptitude with technology but, as I say to my clients, it's never too late to start…….

The new Surface with Windows RT starts from £399

Windows 8 launch dinner party

I am really looking forward to dins tonight……being cooked for, at a small dinner party by one of Jamie Oliver’s original “first 15” chefs from his restaurant Fifteen. The dinner is to celebrate the launch of the new Windows 8 tablets and PC’s.

So more to follow tomorrow on how easily I (someone who is so useless with technology- took me an hour last night to get the DVD working) got to grips with the new Windows 8 system and of course some foodie pix.

Homebase Lighting Challenge

In response to long dark Winter evenings setting in, Homebase set up a fun challenge yesterday evening to illuminate and create various lifestyle room sets using their fantastic affordable new ranges of lighting, furniture and accessories.
@Homebase_uk

My “Style your life” #styleyourlife business now transforms and stages interiors from empty to lived in, or tired and cluttered to stylish and minimal.

If it’s a property for sale, a show flat or simply a private home that needs some TLC, I will consider my client’s individual needs and what we need to achieve by the styling and staging.
Improve a live/work space.
Better first impressions to sell.
Create an aspirational living space in an slow-selling home to help a prospective purchaser want to buy into a lifestyle, not simply the bricks and mortar.

Here are 2 snaps taken last night from the modern dining room and shabby chic sitting room I created instantly. It was rather like 60 minute make-over and I loved having the instant electrician and handy man there. I did jokingly offer for him to come to live with me! We could all do with someone living with us to help us with our light bulbs, shelves etc. (In addition to husbands or partners)

The 3rd pic is in my own front hall with one of the new ranges of Homebase retro-style lights and an up-cycled 1950’s chest of drawers found in a Brighton flea market.

RICHARD WARD HAIR

Feeling like a new hairstyle now that Winter is nearly upon us!

After living with a short sharp bob for the last year before letting it grow out over the last few months, I thought it was time to give myself and my hair a bit of extra bounce with a more shaggy, sexy haircut.

Nando, my hairdresser at Richard Ward, transformed my fine hair into a new cut to give more volume and bounce- Just what I needed @richardwardhair

When my hair looks good, I always feel better and more confident in front of the TV cameras and especially when advising my own lifestyle clients on their own best looks.

3rd personal training session at LOMAX

Warwick decided to make my Wednesday session a Reiki healing session rather than a gym training. So relaxing.- lovely treat!

What did Friday’s session bring? A weigh-in, body-fat calculation (oh dear) and a proper sweat and puff inducing training session.

Lulled into a false sense of security!

and I didn’t ask what I weighed…… know that all my clothes are too tight are at the moment.
3 more sessions next week……………

personal training at LOMAX bespoke fitness Chelsea

Soooo excited! After an incredibly intense and thorough 1 hr personal fitness assessment my new trainer Warwick will be taking me through my paces at LOMAX BESPOKE FITNESS, CHELSEA from next week. www.lomaxpt.com

6 months ago the Doctors wanted to do a hip replacement for me as I could hardly walk from pain. It seems that now, with Warwick's expertise in rehab and personal training, my future is not simply about improving muscle, stamina etc but about unlearning past movement patterns- both mind and body and focusing on the new.

His underlying message is very similar psychologically to how I help my own 1-2-1 style clients with self-confidence, esteem etc. We both strive to show how to “unlearn” past patterns. Warwick's goal, in small steps, is how to use your body differently to achieve your fitness/strength/ability goals and mine is how to change your lifestyle/personal image/positivity when you look at yourself in the mirror.

CRAZY HORSE revue show

br />

Birthday treat at the new Crazy Horse revue show on the South Bank. Fantastic marquee with neon lighting and a bar- makes you feel like you could be in Paris!

The show is full of identical perfect bodied girls all quite undressed, except for very clever artistic lighting creating modesty and illusion. The girls were more beautiful and slightly androgenous in their style of bodily perfection, rather than sexy, but it definitely made you want to book gym training sessions to get bodies like theirs.

The sketches were often amusing as well as cleverly staged and choregraphed, and definitely a great evening out in London – one with a difference.

then dinner at Bob Bob Ricard, in Soho. Loving the bell on the table ” ring for champagne”
