Chatting on Talk Radio to Jake Yapp about a new drug that is in development, which may help reverse the ageing process by targeting and killing off old cells. What do we think? Would we take it? What else can we do to live a healthier lifestyle?
Chatting on BBC Radio Berkshire about the Royal Enclosure at Royal Ascot racing 2017 style and fashion rules. Having been the BBC TV fashion and style reporter from Royal Ascot races myself a few years ago and also a regular Royal Ascot Royal Enclosure attendee for many years I have watched how the fashion style rules and regulations have evolved and often now ignored
So now Royal Ascot authority has re-issued their style criteria to help maintain fashion and style standards. This year the rules include allowing a jumpsuit which must however be full length.
The last time anything as dramatic as this happened was in the ’70’s when trouser suits were allowed for the first time ever.
This was the makeover I did in July, for my lovely Style of Wight magazine “win a makeover” Winner Isobelle.
She and I worked together over 3 months on a diet/healthy eating regime. We looked through her wardrobe at which styles and colours worked best for her body shape and colouring, and selected those items which should go to charity as they weren’t going to be worn again. We discussed makeup, makeup brands, makeup tips and how to enhance her lips and eyebrows with clever makeup application.
During that time, I consulted with the brilliant hairdresser JoJo at Freshwater on what we wanted to achieve with a new more flattering haircut and colour for Isobelle’s face shape and skin tones.
The dress I selected for Isobelle to wear was from a selection of evening dresses to hire from Posh Frocks in Sandown, Isle of Wight. I chose this black and white evening dress for Isobelle to wear, as the wide, off the shoulder, light coloured neckline created a slimming illusion, balancing her body shape.
The large selection of dresses to buy or hire in Posh Frocks in sizes 8-24 were great value for when you need something for that special occasion. Especially when you are a curvy lady and its often difficult to find that perfect dress to buy.
Isobelle had lost 3 stone by the time of the photoshoot, and looked wonderful,
But my lifestyle and style makeovers aren’t simply for a day.
They are a life change plan to take forward, so I hope that all the hints and tips that I offered Isobelle will stay with her for the future.

Sunday 8th May 2016 chatting on BBC Local radio stations nationwide, with Georgey Spanswick on style, fashion, and what you maybe can and cannot wear age 50+.
As I myself am in that age bracket and would like to age disgracefully, never looking like the proverbial “mutton”
I would say to all women age 50+, dress to suit your body shape, colouring, proportions and what works for your personal/public “brand.” and personality.
Feel happy and confident in yourself and it will show whatever you are wearing.
Be your best you!
Your brand is how you wish others to perceive you.
That “1st Impressions” moment.
So in wearing a pair of on trend fishnets and metallic shoes together with a pair of plain grey jeans says to me that Georgey would like to be seen as fun and cool, Never mumsy or boring. In teaming the fishnets and silver loafers with a pair of plain grey jeans Georgey has shown that less is always more.
Add a statement or two to your basic neutral clothes and you will always appear age-appropriate.

My chat with Penny Smith on Talk Radio at Midday on May 1st on making the most of yourself.
Discussing a recent survey findings in which it seems that the perfect body shape is all about a hip to waist ratio. The smaller the waist the sexier the woman would be, Unfortunately nowadays our waists our bigger. Our dress a generous 16 and a small waist at 26 inches is an unlikely and mostly unachievable measurement for many women.
So I would say to all women and men that it’s all about 1st impressions and making the most of yourself. Find your best bits, concentrate on accentuating those and minimise and distract from the least favourite parts of you.
I want all my clients to love what they see in the mirror, whatever your size, shape and age. Everyone has the possibility to be your best you. My book Discover the New You may help you. You can dip in and out of it according to your self confidence, style and beauty dilemmas.
Why not start your journey today, in small steps..
I also do 1-2-1’s and group workshops in London and the Isle of Wight. I would love to hear from you
