I dropped into the Troubadour, Old Brompton Road London last night to see a new comedy singing and impressionist act Georgea Blakey. Hosting the evening and filling in between her character outfit changes was David Whitney. He was a completely brilliant stand-up comedian who managed to combat and rebuff the audience heckling from a rather inebriated “Hurrah-Henry”-posh table at the front row. He had great one-liners and timing.
Georgea’s songs were particularly funny as her comedic prowess was noticeable, not only in her characters that included Jordan and Kate Middleton but in the writing of her quite naughty song words. Very brave when your mum and dad is in the audience too!
Watch this space. She is definitely worth seeing when she does another show.
