I went along to this seminar at the V&A lecture theatre that examined the history, design and ideas surrounding women’s tailoring. The lecture coincided with the 125th anniversary of Jaeger – who would have thought it – 125 years! The afternoon was fascinating with guest speakers including Carol Alayne, a Savile Row tailor, Jaeger buyers and designers and a London College of Fashion tutor..
“Women should have the same opportunities to invest in their working wardrobes as they do in their careers. Image matters!” This happens to be the theme of my corporate workshops I hold.
I find that women would like to wear a “sort of uniform” as do men, but one that shows their personality and style. First impressions are so important.
