#pilates personal training & beauty treatments at Duo health & Fitness

On my mission to be my best me again. Discovered that there is a new health & fitness studio, DUO, only 5 minutes walk from my office with a great Pilates teacher,Christina, who specializes in rehab. I am now into lesson 2 and can already see an improvement in how I use my body correctly when I exercise.
Looking forward to how much change I can manage in the next few months.

This studio also has personal trainers, training equipment and a beauty treatments for both you and your man.
I haven't tried any yet as I have only had time to experience the gym with complete focus on my 1-2-1 on the Pilates Reformer machine.

#DavidBowie and #TheBookofMormon what a fantastic day today!

Couldn’t miss the press preview of the David Bowie retrospective at the V&A or the last minute matinee tickets we had obtained for the Book of Mormon today- even though I had been in bed with flu for last 3 days. So I emerged from the sick-bed leaving germs behind and excitement overtaking the flu-exhaustion.

The Bowie exhibition was just amazing- it assailed all senses. Reactive headphones to each exhibit allowed you to hear, see and completely experience Bowie from teenage career beginning to his tours, films, art and all aspects of his life. Bowie was my complete pin-up idol and I saw all his live concerts when I was in my 20’s so this was like living my past life for 2 hours again. I could have spent half a day there as there was so much to see, finishing with a room of giant video screens playing his last concert- it was nearly the same experience as being at the actual concert.
Just an amazing visual and all consuming sensory experience.

and then when I thought the day couldn’t get any better we laughed our way through the Book of Mormon.
It was sooooo camp and so funny that there was no mascara left on my lashes by the time it had ended-all cried off from laughing so much. Words cannot describe it except for camp, irreverent and brilliant…

I cannot recommend both experiences enough!. Rush to buy your tickets. You won’t be sorry.
I could go all over again. The best-est day !

My favourite painting at BADA antiques & fine art fair Chelsea 13-19 March

Dropped past the BADA antiques and fine art fair in Duke of Yorks square. This is the 21st anniversary of the fair with some serious works of art in display and antiques both modern and classic. Most of the obviously quite important pieces displayed were unpriced, which was shame from my point of view as I love to play the “guess how much” game…. Silver, jewellery, furniture, oil paintings and also watercolours on loan by the 18th/19th century artist William Payne. Some of the period furniture and artifacts were amazing..

My personal favourite is this one pictured here by FRANZ VAN MONTFORT, 1889-1980 of the Belgian School, titled “Le Lilas Blanc”. Oil on canvas, signed, inscribed and dated 1920 (149.5 x 109 cms) from John Bennett Fine Paintings W6.
How nice it would be to have a spare £32,000…..

Fab new SW6 beauty salon @LaDurbinSalon #beauty #easter

Found a fantastic new local beauty & hair salon in Fulham S.W.6, that opened a week ago, La Durbin Boutique. The salon has been styled, by the owner Latifa, with so much attention to detail. It's stylish with 50's retro glamorous girly touches, and most importantly Lana (the beautician) is excellent, expert, knowledgeable and caring in her beauty treatments. I spent a blissful Friday afternoon there in Lana's hands – literally – having a hot stone massage and a Dermologica facial. Both treatments were among the best I have had anywhere, in a lovely warm cocooning room and hot towels to finish off. I left with freshly washed and blow-dried hair. What more could a girl want?
I recommend you try this small personal salon as soon as you can as it's going to get very booked up when word gets around….

#interiordesign #styling #shabbychic #style looks for creating shabby chic interiors for home staging

Loving this Little Tree Furniture painted & distressed-finished oak topped desk that is made from reclaimed wood and has a wonderful vintage shabby chic feel. It works well in this setting with the Farrah & Ball grey wall colours & faded colours of the rest of the furnishings. I found the chair in an antique market and felt that it complimented the desk style & colour perfectly.

How to help sell your empty property more quickly with home staging #interiordesign #styling

This shabby chic table is the teenage room desk.
I chose the raspberry pink bottles as they added a pop of colour & toned with the bed cushions & floor rug colours.
The patterned notebook & candle also added colour vibrancy.
I sourced the vintage chair in an Antiques market. The taupe spot seat pad toned with the room’s neatral colours.
