As with all my Instagram posts I hope to demonstrate that no-one including myself is perfect in real life.

But we can all do our best, work towards being our best versions of ourselves ( without edits or Instagram filters), whatever age, bodyshape or size we are.

Pilates reformer fitness Thursday

Pilates reformer fitness Thursday.

This particular exercise is so much harder than it looks.
.
It depends on a strong glute med, good turn out from the hip and core stability, .
I found it hard to do as I had a left hip resurface op a few years ago ( the same op as @andymurray has just had) and also tore the glute med subsequently.
.
So the mechanics of how my left hip works, together with the hip flexors and glutes are not as they were before. Also at the age of 64 the body is slightly more worn now! .
But with hard work its possible to aspire to be the best you can be.

Another Pilates reformer exercise for glute and core strengthening and balance and stability on the supporting leg .

This video clip was filmed after an tough hour group class and the glutes were certainly feeling the workout! . 
Quite wobbly this time as my muscles were tired and should have had the hanging leg straight but corrected it before the end of the video clip
