So whilst walking @misslucy_lou this sunny morning I was practicing being mindful, grateful and appreciating the world around me.
.
I came across this beautifully planted flower bed. So simple but so effective.
.
I thought it was quite magical, ethereal almost like Narnia with the old fashioned lamp post.
.
Perfect garden for a Halloween posting. .

The St Helens village horticultural show Isle of Wight.
So no success with any of my veg entries this year. I entered beef tomatoes, mini purple tomatoes, and golden tomatoes, runner beans, purple French beans and rhubarb.
My only 5 apples produced from my apple tree each had a single nibble from a passing bird out of them before I could pick them!
However I did win 2 x second prizes for my pastel artwork of the dog and my watercolour beach view from the decking of a beach house.
My two 2nd place wins earned me 80p.
I will be going on a spending spree tomorrow.
As they now say it’s all in the taking part-not the winning.
Those who have known me for years in my cool urban London lifestyle would never have imagined me growing fruit and vegs and entering them in the local village horticultural society’s Summer show.
Do stuff outside your normal fast paced hectic and often stressful life. It’s fun. .

@dja5859 @misslucy_lou
Thank you @pashclassics for getting them to me in less than 12 hours!
They finish off the 50’s style vibe in this kitchen corner.
Spot @misslucy_lou the bichon/westie cross on her bed in the corner.
She always wants involved and to be in the picture.
The fuschia coloured Sweet Peas and beautiful Peonies are all from my Isle of Wight garden.
The orange Tulips are silk fakes.
I often mix real flowers with fake when interior styling or staging a property.
