My talks include social media-the positives and negatives, body image, comparison anxieties, bullying and exclusion, mental health and all issues to do with feeling good about yourself. .
I was a celebrity stylist for over 30 years and now work with private and corporate clients with lifestyle, image and life change and have seen how the relationship with food and eating habits can affect people’s lives, their mental health and well-being. .
I took a nutrition degree over the last few years to add to my expertise and knowledge of how to help my clients with a healthy balanced lifestyle.
I want my clients to be the best versions of themselves they can be. .

These photos are pre-social media when there were no filters on photos and no pressures to look a certain way. .
Of course there were those who were skinny too and those who were fat but no-one judged or had anywhere to post photos that weren’t real. The only place to post a photo was in a personal photo album which stayed in your living room. .
No-one exercised, worked out or went to gyms in the same ‘addicted to fitness’ way so our bodies were a different shape and less toned than gym bodies of nowadays. .
Maybe we did ballet or horse riding or swam or did some form of sport at school and beyond but only for our personal enjoyment. Not with the same end goals to have the perfect Instagram body. .
We didn’t compare or judge.
No pressures to look a certain way.
We were happier and more confident in our body image then.
Free to be who we were. .

Back to a barrecore class today
.
.
It’s another birthday next week, (in my 60’s) which reminds me that as we get older it’s important to keep fit, healthy and mobile. For mind and body.
Even if the exercise is only a 20 minute brisk walk a day. Exercise should be a minimum of 3 times a week. .
.
.
I like to mix up my fitness classes each week. Each style of class has a different purpose.
So today is barrecore which has core and glute work, plies and sqats, together with ballet style barre exercises and light weights for arms.
I do Pilates once a week for core and glute strength and spinal mobility.
30 min boxing and HIIT workout once a week for cardio and also to help weight maintenance or loss.
Horse riding is my occasional special feel good treat especially when It’s riding along the beach.
And then there’s the dog that needs a walk…. What’s your weekly fitness or exercise regime? And what’s your favourite class?

Good morning Monday
A client wardrobe makeover
This client was 5’2 tall and needed smart day to evening outfits to wear. This is one of the before and after pix. Everything she had in her wardrobe was baggy and worn to be layered to hide her body shape.
I want my clients to be proud of their bodies and wear clothes that flatter making them feel and look their best.
