Excited to be chatting to @stephanddom on @talkradiouk today, Saturday morning 11.45am . Topic is getting ready and packing for your Summer holiday hols. Everything from beauty to style and if you are like myself, how we girls like to pack for eventualities, those what if moments, often preparing days or even weeks in advance. I found that most men can't understand this as they often simply throw a small bag together on the morning of departure. . I'm currently on my own staycation in the Isle of Wight. Sunhats, sun protection cream and all Summer wardrobe from tropical to wet weather included. . Love to hear your thoughts on what you do too . . . . .

The Summer wardrobe is finally having an airing this week.

The Summer wardrobe is finally having an airing this week. . Summer has arrived in London at the same time as my busiest fun week of the year. . It makes a change to wear real clothes instead of daily fitness kit lycra which everyone walks around London in, even if they're not going to the gym. . Girls night out with Marcia McCabe at my cousin Russ Kane's pre-Edinburgh festival warm up gig at the Albany pub, London. . Wearing halter neck silk top and limited edition customised jeans from Zara ( summer 2018) and vintage denim jacket. . I can remember a newspaoer article a while ago saying at what age are you too old to wear jeans? . I say never too old. . . . .

Difficult to know what to wear when the weather changes from hot and muggy to cold and rain

Difficult to know what to wear when the weather changes from hot and muggy to cold and rain and you're sitting outside the restaurant for dinner. . The way forward seems to be mixing Summer and Winter wardrobes. . Chanel-style cotton rib dress from Zara (Summer 2018) with vintage leather jacket. . Photo seems to be slightly out of focus. Think the photographer may have had one drink too many . . . .

Been off grid for a week as I dropped my phone and the screen broke

Been off grid for a week as I dropped my phone and the screen broke even with all bumpers and protection. . £220 later for Samsung S9+ screen/whole frame replacement ( and that was one of the cheaper quotes) I'm now catching up. . So... Never too old to love a live music gig.. Especially when it's a mother and daughter girls night out. Fleetwood Mac at Wembley. . . . .

Every so often we all need a digital detox. . Even if we don’t feel or have social media comparison

Every so often we all need a digital detox. . Even if we don't feel or have social media comparison anxiety, we can still feel a need to post daily so we don't lose followers, and our followers don't lose interest. . So if I don't post every day, please don't get bored and disappear. . My Instafeed is real, not filtered, hoping to inspire, and may not always be real time as I'm not out every day and night. . I'm often in many evenings on my own watching TV. My life can even be quite boring, mundane and even lonely. . That is something that most people would not want to admit on their social media. . I'm currently in the middle of writing a novel which is nearly finished, and that requires huge discipline, no distractions, sitting at my laptop with all emails and social media switched off. . So today I've posted a bare-faced, no-make-up selfie pic of my 64 year old me. Just as I am. No filters. This is me. . . . . . . .

It's pouring with rain today but yesterday was beautiful and all that was needed for the best sun protection was a big floppy hat, sunglasses and Altruist factor 50 sunscreen for the face, and Altruist factor 30 for the body as seen with @misslucy_lou .
