So over the next week I'm going to post examples of the Grayshott "regime week"
with nutrition tips for you to follow. 
So you too can do a simple home version.

The key to the Regime is improving gut health with fermented foods (sauerkraut and bitters) before each meal and then having a good balance of complex carbs (vegetables) and protein ( chicken, fish , beef, etc). .
.
Yummy carrot, kale and spinach soup to start. Main course fillet of red mullet in miso broth with crispy shallots and stir fry vegetables in wheat free soy sauce. .

Its the weekend and sometimes you just have to!

Its the weekend and sometimes you just have to! .
.
However I only kept the bun on the burger for the purposes of this photo 
And then.... I removed it.
.
.
If I'm going to have a carb treat with yummy thrice-cooked chips
then I would never have a 2nd loading of carbs with the burger bun. .
One portion of simple carbs (not the healthier option of complex carbs) is plenty!  Simple carbs such as bread, pastries, cakes, pasta etc give a sugar spike to your blood sugar levels giving you an energy high and then a rapid low.

So here we have a yummy healthy home-made beefburger, ( minus bun) gherkin, slice of cheese, bacon, fried onions, salad, and home-cooked fries.

The best puds are usually chocolate! 
This one we just had at dinner tonight

A chocolate cremeux with almond essence and chocolate panna cotta. Beyond yum! So naughty but sometimes you just have to. 
Life is for living. Tomorrow is another day.
And weekdays can be for the healthier low carb sugar and wheat free lifestyle. .

Light protein and complex carbs fish supper

Light protein and complex carbs fish supper.

Amarinth microseed leaves, Samphire, organic salmon fillet,  baby new potatoes. 
New potatoes have a lower glycaemic index than baked potatoes. Low GI helps maintain blood sugar levels longer. 
Samphire greens are great for iron.
Salmon is a good oily fish for Omega 3. 
Microseeds and microleaves are hugely nutritious.
