I always post an in-salon selfie when my hair is looking its post-haircut best. However this time the pic ended up accidentally being a video as @andysmith_stylist hijacked the phone.
Lucy the westie x bichon wanted to be included. .
A great haircut makes you feel good and can renew self-confidence, self-esteem and positivity.

Every so often we need to take time out away from social media. To focus on ourselves and our family. Family is everything.
.
Our Instagram posts show the glossy, happy sides of our lives. Even with no filters on our photos, we still carefully edit what we put out into the public domain. .
Do our followers really want to know what’s going on in our private lives? Yes or no? .
Maybe if it can inspire? …
.
I only want to inspire and motivate with positive messages and images.
Showing how to be age proud at 65 years old, have body confidence, live a healthy and active lifestyle, have good mental health and that it’s never too late to try anything new.

Chatting about age- and being real on BBC5live at 10.50am this morning with Emma Barnett.
.
Why I no longer feel the need to fib about my age even when I reach another milestone birthday. Looking in the mirror each morning isn’t always the best as i still feel like my younger self inside but the mirror tells a different story.
.
When we were in our teens or twenties, we aged ourselves up to appear more wordly and maybe to be taken more seriously by those older than us especially for career advancement.
.
However when we reached our 40s and onwards we fibbed and lopped years off to remain as long as possible in the previous decade.
.
Now that we look after ourselves better with a healthy lifestyle and diet, nutrition knowledge, fitness and beauty regimes, we can look our best and be proud of how we look naturally whatever our age.
.
I’m proud to look the way I do in my 60s.
.
Of course I would like to look like I did when I was in my 20s but I’ll settle for being the best version of how I am now.
.
I’ve had amazing life experiences in my 60plus years and two wonderful children.
Ive no need to fib any longer.
.
I want to inspire women of all ages.

I’ve had this tie-dye turquoise silk slip dress for 20 years ( bought in a sample sale). It’s my go-to Summer dress to dress up or down and take on holidays as it rolls up into a tiny nothing.
I wore it with flat sandals as the party was at a farm house in a field in a fabulous Moroccan style marquee with very uneven ground that required major concentration and definitely no heels to safely navigate across and dance.
It was a great party. .
