Have you seen the movie “The Book Club”? Funny and so pertinent to so many women over 50.
Often we lose who we were, whilst caring for our familes, being too busy, or feeling guilty.
It’s never too late to start over and realise your dreams..

Healthy lifestyle tips
Here are 5 tips for a good digestive system and improved gut health which is the key to your general optimum health and well being.
I subsitute oatcakes for bread when I’m craving a healthy carb fix, especially eaten with unpasteurized cheese (a healthy gut likes unpasteurised cheese and fermented foods as friendly bacteria and probiotics keep your microbiome happy and healthy). .

Endermology
When legs feel and look heavy, Endermology can help their appearance whilst you are on your weightloss regime and body transformation journey.
Yes those are my legs…and this treatment helps me a lot.
It’s a roller which is used over your body (whilst you wear a special body stocking). The action of the machine helps lymphatic drainage ( in fact cancer treatment patients have this treatment too to help their lymph drainage)
It helps reduce cellulite, skin elasticity, skin tone and skin quality.
A couple of sessions a week over a few months and then an occasional maintenance one definitely makes a difference.

Andy delivers the best haircuts that flatter your faceshape and work best for whatever hair type you have.
My hair is so fine but he makes it appear thick and with graduation to make the cut more interesting and edgy.
He always does a fabulous job and also does a great selfie…

Saturday night dinner entertaining
My supper party last night was a gaspacho starter with added chopped cucumber and croutons to add texture to the cold soup.
Then this home-cooked paella.
The rice was cooked in shellfish stock (lobster, mussels, chicken, garlic and onions in the vegetable water stock), and chicken thighs roasted first with crispy skin, chorizo, prawns, mussels, squid, and some sliced peppers to decorate.
I served it with a green salad.
Cheeses and strawberries and cream for pud.

Eggs from the local farm shop chickens, seeded wholemeal bread from the Island Bakery with rather a generous spread of organic butter, wilted spinach, beef tomato slices, avocado and mushrooms.
I always eat breakfast or brunch straight after working out, or doing any fitness or exercise. Healthy mix of carbs and protein and good fats. .
